About Too Hot To Handle Candles
Our Inspiration
We are avid wax players. The majority of wax play candles that we were able to find were 100% soy. They never completely hardened on the body and removal was like using a sharp knife to smear peanut butter.
Then we tried low temperature paraffin candles and found them to be lukewarm and lacking any 'bite'.
We then started experimenting with different blends to create a candle that hardens and cools quickly, won’t cause burns or blisters (even if held close to the skin), and is uniform in temperature, irrespective of color and/or fluorescence.
Our Ingredients
Paraffin and Soy are available in various burn temperatures and soy is available in 100% and 98% pure. We use a mid temperature paraffin and only use 100% pure soy. Likewise, we never use powdered coloring, since powder doesn’t mix uniformly throughout the candle, possibly creating hot spots. Instead, we use colored wax chips that melt completely.
Our Process
Our Wax Play candles™ are blended to have a 'bite' and they cool and harden almost immediately! They are a blend of
Mid Temperature Paraffin and Low Temperature 100% Soy
Candles are 6.25" x 2" and weigh 8.8 oz. and are in the BDSM Triskelion shape. Pooling temp when lit is 122°. The blends and the shape are Trademarked.
These candles are handmade, not mass produced, so please keep in mind that colors may vary slightly from batch to batch.
